Ryan Staffier (they/he) is a photographer based in Boston, Massachusetts. Their work has been exhibited in the Godine Family Gallery, as well as both the North and South Crackatorium at Massachusetts College of Art and Design, where they are currently pursuing their BFA in photography. Ryan’s photographic practice is diaristic, documenting their life as a gay, transgender man navigating familial trauma, relationships, suffering, and joy. They use photography as a meditative tool to process their emotions and experiences, and to create representation for themself and other LGBTQIA+ individuals. Ryan primarily works with a large format view camera for its slowness and visually articulative nature.
